Bio
Franco Arellano (Fran) is a Software Engineer (UNICEN) currently pursuing a PhD in Computational and Industrial Mathematics with a scholarship granted by CONICET. His research focuses on leveraging unlabeled data and scraping tools to build better foundation models, aiming to reduce the annotation burden in medical image classification and segmentation tasks, with a focus on ophthalmological applications.
